NE – NEWPORT AQUARIUM – The new Coral Reef Tunnel is bursting with color and swarms of schooling fish with more than 50 species represented. Among them, the Bluespine unicornfish with its prominent horn-like forehead. Visitors will also find multiple species of adorable pufferfish and get to watch young angelfish dramatically change color and pattern as they grow up on the reef.
Gator Alley is now home to three adorable Orinoco crocodile babies, some of the rarest and most endangered reptiles in the world. Everyone will get a chance to see these babies grow up under the watchful care of Newport Aquarium biologists before they’re transported to Venezuela to help repopulate their natural habitat in the wild.
The All-New Ring of Fire: World of the Octopus will introduce visitors to a rotating collection of new octopuses and strange sea creatures, many of them living in a bubbling and glowing 360-degree display! Newport Aquarium

They already offer a wide variety of lodging options, but they just added three incredible covered wagons that may just be the most unique overnight stay in the state.
The wagons are modeled after the authentic ones that once took adventurers through Kentucky on their way to the wild west. Each wagon sleeps five comfortably but allows up to six. They are heated and air-conditioned, and quite comfortable for an overnight stay.
Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort is located at 2001 Highway 90, Corbin, KY 40701. For more information and to make a reservation, visit their website here and be sure to follow along with them on Facebook here.
